“Try listening without getting goosebumps” – London Free Press

Peter Katz is a JUNO Award, Canadian Screen Award and 2-time Canadian Folk Music Award-nominated singer-songwriter who has spent the past 10+ years touring nationally and internationally. He has sold out premiere venues from the National Arts Centre in Ottawa to the Harbourfront Centre Theatre in Toronto, to the legendary Paradiso in Amsterdam.  In 2014, he was also crowned Best Male Vocalist in the NOW Magazine 2014 reader’s poll (readership of over half a million).

Peter’s latest release ‘We Are The Reckoning’ was hailed by CBC Radio host Tom Power as “one of the most heartfelt, beautiful and vulnerable records of the year… an astonishing record”.  The lead single ‘Brother’, a duet with Royal Wood, peaked at #3 on the national Top 20 CBC Radio 2 charts, was ranked #3 on their best-of-the-year list and the accompanying video achieved over 100,000 views in its first few weeks of release. In 2017, Peter released a French version of ‘Brother’ with Quebec star Rémi Chassé, which is currently sitting at #2 on the Franco Pop radio charts.

Peter’s music has been featured on several TV shows and movies like Reign, Sign Sealed and Delivered, Felicity, For Your Consideration, Hello Goodbye, Alias, Heartland and more, as well as on CBC Television’s 2016 Rio Olympics / Paralympics coverage.

Peter has also shared the stage and studio with the likes of Academy Award Winner Glen Hansard (Once, The Frames) and legendary icon Garth Hudson (The Band).

In the gaps of his touring schedule, Peter is currently busy at work on 3 new albums with an impressive list of collaborators.
